Stuck in My Hole

Dear me, I'm stuck in my hole
Food's gone, naught to eat at all
It rains hard and here I sit
Holding an empty plate in my hand, oh

Stuck in my hole and no food has been saved
Look at my kitchen, it looks much like a grave
I don't understand what I'm supposed to eat
Larder's so empty, a sight with despair

Stuck in my hole, feeling so small
Stuck in my hole, hungry and all
I'd like a pie
But no one's bringing me one

Stuck in my hole, I tried to make a fine stew
Forgot it on fire, it evaporated into some dew
It makes me angry to nibble on some hard cheese
While I'm dreaming of pies made of wild geese

Stuck in my hole, feeling so small
Stuck in my hole, hungry and all
I'd like a pie
But no one's bringing me one

Oh, I am still stuck in my hole
I just want to eat something good
Berries, muffins, lots of casserole
I just want to eat something good

It rains hard and here I sit
Holding an empty plate in my hand, oh

I just want to eat something...

Stuck in my hole, feeling so small
Stuck in my hole, hungry and all
Stuck in my hole, feeling so small
Stuck in my hole, hungry and all
I'd like a pie
But no one's bringing me one

About the song

This could probably be the very first song I ever performed at the Green Dragon Friday. Sometimes we hobbits get stuck inside our burrows, usually after a large storm when the doorway is blocked. Here is a song inspired by those accidents. It is best sung to another similar tune by Alice in Chains, Stuck in a Hole.
