Beneath the Same Big Sky

I took a stroll in my town
To a house my friend used to own
Now that she has gone, her burrow's been sold
All what's left are mem'ries of old

Her plants and flower pots are all gone
Her lantern doesn't glow here anymore
Tears start to build in my mourning eyes
I just would like to see her one more time
One more time...
One more time...

In this life, people they come and they go
It can make you feel sad
Yet I know that they're still somewhere out there
Beneath this same big sky

In this life, people they come and they go
It can make you feel sad
Yet I know that they're still somewhere out there
Beneath this same big sky
Beneath this same big sky

I wonder where might she be?
Does she still often think of me?
Yet I know that we live beneath the same big sky
And we share the same bright stars
Yet I know that we live beneath the same big sky
And we share the same bright stars
Oh yes, we share the same bright stars

About the song

Even when you are roleplaying a character among other roleplayers, things often don't stop there. In a friendly community like the one we Shire hobbits have, we form strong bonds to each other, even friendships. Yet when things in real life change, some hobbits might have to withdraw from the game, sometimes for good. Even though they don't visit us anymore, we still think of them often from time to time and hope to see them again. This song here reminds us that even though you might be far apart from someone, you both still dwell under the same sky, looking at the same stars above. It is best sung to the tune Landslide, another one of my favourite guitar songs.
