Pouncing Pouncella, pouncing Pouncella
You'll come a-pouncin’ Pouncella, with me
That lass keeps pouncin’ like the salmon in the Brandywine
That’s our pouncin’ Pouncella, pounce free!
Once a lady salmon looked at the Shire fields
”Oh how I long to pounce free on that grass!”
A wizard came and made her turn into a hobbit lass
"You'll come a-pouncin’ Pouncella, with me"
Pouncing Pouncella, pouncing Pouncella
Look at that pouncin’ Pouncella, whoopee!
That lass keeps pouncin’ like the salmon in the Brandywine
That’s our pouncin’ Pouncella, pounce free!
If you see a great grasshopper on the Shire fields
Just look again, that’s a green, bouncin’ lass
She hops and jumps ’til it’s time for a apple pie
She’ll come a pouncin’ Pouncella with feel.
Pouncing Pouncella, pouncing Pouncella
Look at that pouncin’ Pouncella, whoopee!
That lass keeps pouncin’ like the salmon in the Brandywine
That’s our pouncin’ Pouncella, pounce free!
About the song
If you ever have spotted me go down the road in the Shire, you might know that I like to pounce! I was inspired to write this silly song just before a fishing competition. It is best sung to the traditional old tune, Waltzing Mathilda.
